Biography
Elected as a Member of Parliament in October 2015, Angelo Iacono has continued to earn the trust of the voters in Alfred-Pellan, who have since re-elected him twice. He is a husband and father who is deeply committed to the community he represents. Angelo is a man who gives selflessly to causes he cares about, and compassion, social commitment and hard work are the values that drive him to fight for the well-being of his constituents.
A lawyer by profession, politician by vocation and humanist by conviction, Angelo Iacono is a determined and passionate leader with extensive experience. He studied political science at McGill University before completing his civil law degree at UQAM. He also holds a law degree from the University of Ottawa. His internationalist outlook later led him to broaden his expertise, earning a certificate in European Community Law from the Faculty of Law of Lyon, in France.
A staunch defender of Canadian values, Angelo Iacono has been involved in politics since he was a teenager. Federal funding in his riding has increased since his election, as has the number of beneficiaries. He works tirelessly to ensure that the people and businesses of Alfred-Pellan fully benefit from federal support, through programs such as Canada Summer Jobs and New Horizons for Seniors.
